A picturesque and peaceful Vietnam’s destination, Ba Be Lake have a water area around 500ha, spreading over 8km, as biggest natural water lake in Vietnam, situated in Cho Ra-Ba Be-Cho Don carste terrain pertaining to low-lying lands of Vietnam North raising mass.

Day 01: Hanoi arrival – Drive to Sapa – Cat Cat Village

Morning arrival. Upon your arrival at the airport, tour guide and driver will meet you with our welcome sign board then take 4 hour drive from the airport to Sapa. Have break on the way for photos. Check in on arrival then embark on a lovely walking tour to the hill tribe village of Cat Cat, home of the H’Mong hill tribe minority people. As we walk to the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa we will meet some of the local minority people on their way to and from Sapa. Here we have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with families that live in the area. Back to Sapa. Free time at leisure and overnight in Sapa.

Day 02: Sapa – Bac Ha Market – Thac Bac Lake

Hightlight of all Sapa tours, Bac Ha market is a trading centre and meeting place where many different ethnic groups such as Flower H’mong, Phu La, Black Dao, Tay and Nung minorities gather to buy and sell local products that cannot be found elsewhere. The market was very crowded, local products for sale or barter are carried on horseback. You will have 2 – 3 hours to explore the markets before having lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch, have a quick visit to the palace of the H’Mong King then drive to Bao Nhai for a amazing boat trip to enjoy the stunning landscape and fresh air from the Chai River. Stop on the way to visit one of the ethnic villages to understand little more about their lifestyle and traditional customs before meeting your bus and driving to Thac Ba Lake, a beautiful artificial lake with its surrounding region home to variety of ethnic minorities like White Dao, Red Dao, Tay, Nung and Hmong. Among them, the White Dao with their white pants are the most beautifully dressed.

Upon arrival, check in the homestay where you will stay overnight. Start a light trek around the village to enjoy the fresh air and experience local untouched nature. Back to the homestay for dinner. You may join hands to prepare dinner with the host. Time for sharing and chatting. Overnight in the homestay.

Day 04: Thac Bac Lake – Ba Be Lake

Thac Ba lake has an area of 23,400 ha comprising 1,331 islands and hills with diverse eco-system. Morning boat trip to discover this lake, a chance to jump into the clear water to wash all your tiredness.

Say good bye to our host, we then drive to Ba Be Lake, famous for its immense crystal water. Stop en route to visit a tea plantation and a sugar factory. Lunch in a local restaurant in Bac Can town.

Arrive at Ba Be Lake. The atmosphere here was something magical and fantastic, perfect retreat for the soul. In the late afternoon, visit surrounding villages, home to a number of ethnic groups: Tay, Nung, San Chi, etc. You may join your hands preparing dinner with your host. Overnight at homestay in Pac Ngoi village.

Day 05: Ba Be

Ba Be Lake (via Vngo)

Breakfast and start our day with a bike ride. We drop by Pac Ngoi and Peng village to explore the newly discovered Hua Ma Cave. This cave is hidden inside a peak and adorned with spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. Return to local home to have lunch.

In the afternoon, embark a little boat to cruise the emerald Ba Be Lake and soak in its sublime serenity and beauty. The surrounding mountains are covered with lush vegetation, home to diverse flora and fauna. We continue our cruise towards the scenic Dau Dang waterfall, on the way visiting some ethnic minorities. Overnight at homestay in Pac Ngoi village.

Day 06: Ba Be – Hanoi

In the morning, we set off to explore Ba Be Lake and its surrounding mountains and forests. Take a boat trip to cruise its emerald water and to visit Dau Dang waterfall formed by amazing rocky defile. Locals use dugouts to cross Ba Be Lake and very often, you will see this unique boat on the lake. We will have time to explore the surrounding area before returning to our vehicle for transfer back to Hanoi. Several stops along the way are expected to visit ethnic villages and to take great photos. Return to your hotel in Hanoi.
